How it works
This tool covers three common percentage calculations: a basic X% of Y, exam-style marks percentage (obtained ÷ total × 100), and percentage change between two values ((new - old) ÷ |old| × 100).
Example
450 marks out of 500 gives 90%. A value moving from 200 to 250 is a +25% change.
Frequently asked questions
Can percentage change be negative?
Yes — if the new value is smaller than the original, the result will be negative, indicating a decrease.
